The Answer is...

Students create the question!  This is a great activity to play at home too.










































Race to 100 Game:

Materials - A partner, 2 dice, a pencil and paper to record addition equations.

Each player takes a turn rolling the two dice and adding the numbers together.  The first person that reaches 100 wins!

How Many Ways?

Another great math activity for home to support Number Sense.  This is a game the students love playing.

We choose a number and try and think of as many ways as we can to make that number:).  There are SO many ways!

As you can see, addition seem to be what the students feel most comfortable with at this point, but as the year progresses, I am sure we will start seeing a variety of operations and strategies.
