Milk & Pizza - Registration for Term 2

The last day for Term 1 Pizza and Milk is J​anuary 31st​.

Term 2 Pizza and Milk will be available to purchase from January 16th-24th​, and will begin on February 1st for Milk and February 7 for Pizza.

Skating at Minto Information!

Our skating schedule has arrived!!!

More information will follow, but please mark your calendars for the following dates that our class and Mrs. Smith's Grade 3 class will be skating at the Minto Recreation Complex next door.

Wednesday, February 1st from 10:10-11:00 a.m.

Thursday, March 2nd from 1:10-2:00 p.m.

There will be a note going home with a reminder about the skating times as well as a section that asks if you are able to volunteer on either or both of the skating days.

Any help on either of those days would be greatly appreciated if you are available.  We will be requesting that volunteers meet us over at the Minto Complex.  If you are volunteering and plan on skating with the class, you will need to wear a helmet and skates.

Students require the 'Informed Consent for Student Participation and Acknowledgement of Risk Form' to be completed and handed into the school in order to participate in our skating program. This form was sent home prior to the Christmas Break.  If you have not sent in this form or require a new form, please write me a note in your child's agenda and send in the form as soon as possible.  

It has been a wonderful week back and our Grade 3s are getting back into our daily school routines. It has been wonderful hearing about all of the exciting events that took place over the Christmas Holidays!

Marching in the Light of God

We have been learning a lot during our Advent Journey this year.  We have been learning about the Christmas Story and the important symbols we place on our prayer table.  Last week we reflected about 'Hope' and how we can bring hope to others.  This week we have been writing about how we can bring peace to our community and what peace means to us.

Today we sang the song, "Marching in the Light of God" and we practiced marching to the beat of the music.  The students really enjoyed this song and their singing brought joy to our hearts.

So beautiful.

Save the Date - December 16th at 1:00 PM

Friday, December 16th (1:00pm should be done by 2:00pm)

This is the date our school Musical Theatre Performance will be held. Parents are invited to attend. The time of the performance has not yet been set (there will be different times for different grades, due to the number of people our gym can hold.

We are performing the song FUN from the musical ‘BIG’. Your child will need to bring a primary coloured shirt (preferably with no logo) to school for Dec. 15th (our dress rehearsal day).  On Friday, December 16th students are asked to wear jeans or dark pants with a plain primary coloured t-shirt (no logo or very small logo would be perfect). It is not necessary to purchase new clothing items for your child.  The most important thing they need to bring is their primary (red, yellow or blue) coloured shirt!
