Monday March 23rd - Updates and Information

Hello Grade 3D Students and Parents!

I wanted to pop on the blog and provide a little update.

First of all, I hope everyone was able to enjoy some special time with their family and enjoy some fun activities while social distancing and staying safe at home.  I know things have been changing daily and we are all taking things one day at a time. I know that together we can get through this and support each other.

I shared a Mindfulness Rocks link on Twitter that I think many of you would enjoy.  Rebecca is offering daily mindfulness videos for both children and adults.  Students LOVED our mindful moments and I think it would be a great way to slow down each day and remind ourselves what we are grateful for.

As you know, at the beginning of February I became ill and have been off sick.  I have been following doctor's orders and all of her advice and I am improving - even if it is a lot slower than I would like :)!  I want to reassure everyone that I am in good care.  I will be re-evaluated on April 9th and I am praying that I will be back at work by April 14th.  I will keep you posted as soon as I know.  Until then, I know that you will be in amazing hands with Mrs. Hegmann.  With that being said, I am an around the clock teacher at heart, and if I see any links or things that I think would be beneficial or fun for students/helpful for parents, I will be sure to either post on the blog or send a Tweet on Twitter.

I miss you all so much and can't wait to see all of your smiling faces again soon!  I am so happy I was able to say hello before March Break on Mrs. Smith's speaker phone!!

Take good care of yourselves.

Lots of Love,

Mrs. Caluori

A message from Mme. Panetta below...

Dear parent(s)/guardian(s),

I hope you and your family are all safe and healthy during this difficult time.

As school will be closed for the next two weeks, I have created a Hapara workspace for our Grade 3 French class. This workspace will serve as a great learning tool for students over the next few weeks. On the workspace you will find some French reading, writing, speaking, and listening material, as well as Social Studies content. Please note that I will continue to add to this workspace, providing more curriculum based content in engaging and creative ways.

To find our workspace please do the following:
1) Open up your browser of choice (ex: Safari, Google Crome, etc)
3) Click on JK-6 Student Portal
4) Scroll down to the icon titled Hapara (you can click the icon or beta student)
5) Type in student login information (same information your child uses to enter a school based chromebook).

Our workspace will be titled "March/April Break - Grade 3 French/Social Studies".

I pray to see the students and their smiling faces back in the classroom soon!

Take care,

Mme. Panetta
